Birmingham-based joinee, who rediscovered old college mate Gold Joinee Kate (SJJM) (GA) on the forum!
Actually ^ ^ ^ they aren't my own words! I don't know whose they are! But it's true, I did meet Kate again through Join Me.
Since joining in December 2004, . . .
- I talk more to Big Issue Sellers.
- I have spent more money on Jiffy bags, sweets and stamps than I have on shoes.
- I have got to know loads of brilliant, funny, like-minded people.
- I have spent way too much time online.
- I have discovered that I am not actually the world's greatest procrastinator. Good, but not the best.
- The same goes for being a pedant.
- I have walked into pubs on my own, knowing that I'm about to have a great time with some of the best people I could hope to meet.
- I look at rubber ducks and plastic spoons in an entirely new light.

There's a meet partly in her honour — it's near her birthday as well as the birthdays of Silver Joinee Gatesy, Silver Joinee Snoring Jesus and Silver Joinee Jen! It takes the form of a Circle Line challenge around London and is known (for reasons revolving around an obscure pun) as G8sy 2.
