Richard Curtis (born 8 November 1956), a British comedy scriptwriter, is best known for the TV series Blackadder and The Vicar of Dibley and the movies Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill. In 2003, he directed Love Actually, his first outing as a director.

He is also the co-founder of the charity, Comic Relief.
