The 21st century free-market version of the 16th century Pamphlet. Usually printed on a single piece of paper, a flyer will promote a given cause, charity or product in an attempt to increase awareness.

In the early years of the 21st century, flyer distribution has left most mainline train stations in rush hour looking like the airport at the start of Airplane.

Modern computers and printing technology mean that mass production of flyers is no longer an expensive or difficult process, and thus homemade flyers (and indeed stickers) have become a staple weapon in the joinees home-made armoury, along with t-shirts, banners, badges and all manner of other tat.
